Post Exemption Granted!
For all those that are thinking that exemptions never happen. I got one on the Trans Turd. Which basically means they'll give them to anyone.................... except full blown racecars that pretend to be stock suspension streetcars HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA PROJECT TUBBER!

Anyways I got one so everyone else should try!

Maybe it's cause my car looks so fast sitting still! LOL

Or maybe you tucked a 100 spot in the envelope.

what did you guys use for the "documentation of how installation of an immobilizer would diminish the quality or value of the vehicle, or create a hardship for an installer" part?

I can give you a copy of what I wrote. I just said that the ignition is completely afternarket. The fuel system is aftermarket and electric with multiple relays and switches that were not there from factory. I truthfully wrote very little. They send someone down to look at it. As soon as he popped the hood he could see that it is not stock!

I just got a call from MPI. They want me to bring them the car so they can see if it passes the highway traffic act before they'll grant the exemption. He said right off the bat that the hood is too high to even consider letting it pass.

I basically have to at least make an attempt at getting one put in.

Goddamnit.

Ian, can you throw a stock low rise Windsor intake and carb on that thing just to get through inspection with a flat hood, or lower cowl (I'm sure somebody could borrow you one)?
